Navratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga. The word Navaratri literally means nine nights in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are worshiped. The tenth day is commonly referred to as Vijayadashami or “Dussehra.”

After nine massively winning editions of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in four cities since 2010, your favourite music festival and the one you can truly call home (yo, it’s where the happiness lies) is back for 2014. This time around, we’re picking things up from where we left off and the Bacardi NH7 Weekender will make the first of its whirlwind stops of 2014 in Kolkata, where the aftermath (all positive, don’t worry) of the City of Joy’s first-ever Bacardi NH7 Weekender in 2013 is still fresh in people’s minds. After that, our ultimate traveling musical party will hit the Garden City of Bangalore and then its spiritual home in Pune before its final stop of the year in Delhi NCR – all in the course of the month of November. What does that mean? Well, other than great weather in the height of the Indian festival season, which roughly translates to happy-people-all-around, you’ve also got zero excuses to avoid joining us at all four editions of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in 2014.
